Numerous days after the parliamentary elections
in February, Italy finally has a new government. As a result of a historical deal,
the lengthy political deadlock ended and a broad-based coalition government was
set up with the leading of PD member Enrico Letta.
As a great pleasure for us, Josefa Idem was nominated
as the Minister for Equal Opportunities and Sports of this country. You might
remember, she is the World and Olympic champion sprint canoer who received the
award of our foundation in mid-January, 2013. With this post I would like to send
our congratulations and wish her all the best for the upcoming four years!
